Dr. Ratna Kali-Roy is the Clinical Director of the Grande Prairie Family Dental Clinic. In 1982 Dr. Kali-Roy graduated from the University of Calcutta where she earned a Master’s degree from the KMC Manipal, as well as held a faculty position as Associate Professor at the dental school. Her sense of adventure took her to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia where she practiced family dentistry before pursuing further training at the Mt. Vernon Hospital, in Northwood Middlesex, U.K. Dr. Kali-Roy’s personal interest in nothing less than excellence has led her to focus her continuing education in cosmetic and neuromuscular dentistry, enabling her to provide the skill and knowledge her patients deserve.

Dr. Nikhilesh Roy graduated from the University of Calcutta in 1982 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery Degree. Shortly thereafter, he completed his Master’s Degree in prosthodontics. Following his work in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as a general practitioner, he moved to Middlesex, UK. It was there, at the Mount Vernon Hospital, that he received extensive training in all areas of minor oral surgery. He was awarded a fellowship at the Royal College of Surgeons taking him to London, UK. Dr. Roy’s drive for further education and opportunity finally brought him to Canada where he trained with some of the best oral surgeons in the country. Dr. Roy has also studied IV sedation at University of Alberta. He takes great pride in his education and accomplishments and is always continuing his education, allowing him to do the best dentistry possible for his patients.
Dr. Krishna Mudaliar graduated from The Fiji School of Medicine and Dentistry and practiced his initial dentistry with the Ministry of Health of the Fijian Government. He gained a great deal of experience working with children through his association with designing and implementing school dental programs for elementary schools. Later he was associated with various hospitals making his way into treating dental concerns for the general public.
Dr. Krishna, as he likes to be called, has also spent time serving in the military doing peace keeping duties in the Middle East and Senai, Egypt working along the Israel- Egypt border in the rank of Captain.
In 1993, he made his way to Canada taking his National Dental Board Exam of Canada. He practiced for three years before opening his own practice in West Edmonton. He practiced out of his own clinic for fifteen years, during which time he was very involved in various volunteer work in Canada and abroad.
Some of his work included: Open Wide Program at the U of A where he treated patients who otherwise could not afford to have dental work done; He volunteered to sit in the interview panel, for new student intake at U of A; KIA (Kindness in Action) where he went to Cambodia to do free treatment to the school children and the poor
Fortunately for us at the Grande Prairie Family Dental Clinic, in April of 2017 Dr. Krishna decided to sell his practice and join us to continue his career in dentistry. He is very happy to provide our patients with treatment in all areas of general dentistry, including cosmetic, root canal therapy, dentures and wisdom teeth extractions.
